Make It Monday 2.23 One Sheet Wonder 6"x6" for Notecards

Suddenly you have a towering stash and a tiny voice whispering, “Don’t cut it — it’s too pretty!”

Today’s solution is liberating, practical, and surprisingly addictive: a 6" × 6" One Sheet Wonder (OSW) paired with ready-to-decorate note cards. In just a few minutes, you can transform one sheet of patterned paper into four beautiful cards — using every scrap — so you can enjoy your stash guilt-free (and maybe justify buying more).


Use Both Sides for Double the Fun

Most Designer Series Paper is double-sided — and this layout showcases this beautifully.

You can:

Option 1 — One Sheet, Two Looks

Flip some pieces over before adhering to show both sides of the design.

Result: A coordinated set of four cards with built-in contrast.

Option 2 — Mix & Match Two Sheets

Use two different 6" × 6" patterns and cut them both the same way. Then swap pieces between sheets.


Assembling the Cards

Attach each panel to a note card base, leaving a small border for a polished look.

You can keep it simple or step it up:

Simple & Quick

  • Adhere panel directly to card

  • Add a sentiment

  • Done!

Stepped-Up Version

  • Add cardstock mats

  • Pop up one piece with dimensionals

  • Layer die cuts or punched shapes

  • Add ribbon or embellishments

Because the patterned paper already carries the design, even minimal effort produces a beautiful card.





Even with identical cuts, your cards don’t have to look the same.

Try varying:

  • Panel orientation (portrait vs. landscape)

  • Placement (center, top, or bottom)

  • Sentiment size

  • Layer colors

  • Embellishments

Small changes = four distinct cards from one sheet.
